Beta testing allows actual consumers to evaluate a product in a production setting in order to identify any problems or difficulties before a broad release. The last phase of testing before distributing a product to a large audience is known as beta testing. In this controlled environment, the goal is to find as many flaws or usability concerns as possible. Beta testers are “actual” users who test in a production setting using the same gear and networks as the final release. This also implies that it is the first opportunity for comprehensive security and reliability testing.
