Weighted Shortest Job First

What is Weighted Shortest Job First ?

Weighted Shortest Job First (WSJF) is a prioritizing methodology that is used to sequence tasks (for example, Features, Capabilities, and Epics) to maximize economic gain. In SAFe, WSJF is calculated by dividing the Cost of Delay (CoD) by the work size. The Weighted Shortest Job First technique may be used by any team in an organization to sequence any effort. Marketing teams may use it to identify which initiatives or campaigns will provide the best return on investment for the organization. Product teams may use it to prioritize things on the product backlog.
